The Buckley Lab would like to extend a warm welcome to Wendy Rodriguez, the latest undergraduate addition to our lab. Wendy is a junior at Emory University majoring in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology. She will be helping with our preclinical studies of cerebral blood flow and oxygen metabolism in mice. Welcome aboard, Wendy!
Pediatrics Pilot Grant
The Center for Pediatric Innovation at the Emory + Children’s Pediatric Research Center has awarded our lab with 1 year of pilot funding to study cerebral blood flow in kids with sickle cell disease. We are so excited about the opportunity to work with an amazing team of clinicians, researchers, and patients for this project. Stay tuned for preliminary results from the project!
Congrats Pranaya!
A big congratulations to Pranaya Chilukuri for being awarded “Judge’s Pick” for her poster on her summer research at the SURE 2015 Poster Symposium! Pranaya’s research was on the effects of repetitive concussions on cerebral blood flow in an adolescent mouse model.
